 * I currently run a poetry forum based website and have been thinking about the
   possibility of using host-press’s script. has anyone used this? it’s appealing
   only because they offer wordpress as the blog software that runs the blogging
   community.

   I guess what they offer is based on the totally free WP MU (multi user) [http://mu.wordpress.org](http://mu.wordpress.org)
