host multiple portfolio pages on one site_confusion_please help

I need to set up a Student showcase website for my batch of 25 students.

Requirements

1. A Landing page with photos of all students, and each photo is linked to his personal page. Not sure about which theme to use here.
2. Student’s personal page : Each student needs a custom page to showcase his/her work. I’m planning to use Touchfolio theme for this.

So I will have to use two separate themes for the site, which is ok. Thanks to Jonradio.

My confusion is if there is a way to manage the database for all the 25 students at one space. so we upload all content at one page and based on the student the appropriate content loads. Since they all use the same theme.
Or
Do i have to do individual pages/sites for each student? That way i have one theme for landing page and 1 theme but 25 different sites/pages for each of the student.

please help me out with this.
