 * I had to move my WP site from Dreamhost to hub. I tar’d the files on DH and downloaded
them. I also exported the DB from DH. I then created a DB and domain on Hub,
uploaded the files and extracted them to the new hub domain and then imported
the .sql file to hub for the DB I had created. It all went smoothly.
 * On the new Hub site I created a portal html page as an entry point and from there
will have users select the current blog I just moved OR click a second link to
go to a NEW blog I am creating. In other words under my domain I created two
sub folders and moved/installed WP into those two folders. That wa a visitor
can visit the old blog or the new from the portal page.
 * However when I link to the OLD blog from the portal page using [http://<mydomain>/folder1/](http://<mydomain>/folder1/)
I get the basic OLD blog page to load with all the plugins, etc BUT the current
blogs do not load and it shows NOT FOUND at the top of the page. What should
the URL be to get the blog to show the posts?
 * The other problem is I have is that none of my user OR backend user accounts
work. I get and ERROR 404 Not found when I try to log into my admin account from
either the home page login plugin AND the wp-admin folder. None of my accounts
   work.
 * Since my URL did not change (just my nameservers changed ) did I miss doing something??
 * Thanks for any help
 * Doug

 * If you changed the _directory_ that WordPress is in, you need to change URLs
in the database, among other places. See [Moving WordPress « WordPress Codex](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress)
and [WordPress Serialized PHP Search Replace Tool](http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/)

 * I have already read thru that page re moving the site and this is where I got
   my plan of attack:
 * “When Your Domain Name and URLs Do Not Change
    Moving your domain …
 * **If you are changing to a new server but same domain, all you need to do is
edit wp-config.php with your new database/user information and upload everything
as it is to your new server**.”
 * In te config file I changed the DB info but I do not see anywhere for WP path
changes?? Is this something I need to do right in phpMyAdmin?

 * I think I need to go back to the old site and change URLs in setting before exporting
the DB. I will try that and see if it sresolves my issue

 * I am getting a little closer. I edited my sql file to change all occurrences
   [http://<mydomain&gt](http://<mydomain&gt); to [http://<mydomain>/folder](http://<mydomain>/folder)
   where WP is loaded.
 * My link now takes me to the blog and I can see the blog entry but there is no
   formatting on the page??

 * Don’t edit an SQL dump with a text editor.
 * Read what I linked above, and here, again: [http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/](http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/)
