  • It’s super easy to create a gallery in seconds.

Just click the YouTube button. Select if you want to create a single video, playlist, channel or live stream, enter the youtube URL and then you’re done (unless you want to customize it further). Plus once it puts the code on the page you can copy/paste it and replace the ID part with the ID from another video or playlist, which is even faster.

The admin panel looks OK in my personal opinion, and works perfectly for me, which is most important.

There’s no way to input individual URLs to build a gallery, only links to existing playlists and channels. So if you want to pull vids from different YT users, you have to create a playlist inside YT first. And no, the admin panel doesn’t even conform to WordPress dev guide.

Yes there is, or there was. You can just put the URL of the video page directly into the HTML of your page.

The you only need to put them into a playlist if you want videos to be in a list type gallery.

I’ve been using the pro version for quite a while now and I’m not sure if the free version has changed, but I did use the free version for a long time before upgrading and I know that it used to be possible to embed a single video just as easily without needing to add it to a playlist first.

When you click the YouTube button in the page you’re editing what options appear in the popup? Can you provide a screenshot?

Here are the options I have after I click the YouTube button:

Check my general YouTube embedding instructions and settings.
    Embed a single video.
    Embed a playlist.
    Embed a channel.
    Embed a live stream.
    Explore monetization. new
Check my performance, blocked countries, deleted videos, etc.

Wow, you really aren’t reading my comments. For clarity, I’m talking about creating a gallery, not inserting individual videos. There is no way to create a Gallery without resourcing an existing YouTube playlist URL or channel.

I am reading it, you’re just not very good at logic nor are you good at explaining your issues. You did not say that you didn’t want to use youtube resources.

You said you wanted to use “individual URLs to build a gallery” and there is “no way” to do it.

A single video has a individual URL.
A playlist has a individual URL.
A channel has a individual URL.

I have tried to help you, but your attitude stinks. So I’m happy and not surprised that you’re unable to figure this for yourself.

Good luck with the rest of your life, you’ll need it.

Really, because it looks like that’s precisely what I said right in the initial review comment: https://www.screencast.com/t/gyMSG5h2Ff

In the time you’ve wasted here, I managed to find a different plugin that does exactly what I’m after, install, setup, and get the gallery finished.

I didn’t ask for your help and wasn’t looking for any. I already knew the plugin wasn’t going to work.
