Horrible TTFB – over 20 seconds

Hi all, I have a huge and strange problem with website

The page is loading very slow (about 30 seconds). The problem is Time to first byte TTFB. But this problem exists only on 1st page per session. The next pages are loading in good time.

And when new session appears – the problem with TTFB is back on the 1st page. It doesnt matter which page I try to load.

Ive tried off plugins, change php version etc and the problem still exists.

Does anyone have similiar problem or want to what to do?

So do you think that my host is the reason so long ttfb?

Test by disabling all plugins and running a speed test. If the TTFB is still high then get in touch with the host to resolve this. If they shrug their shoulders, then move to a more responsive host. If disabling the plugins leads to a considerable improvement, enable and test one by one until you find the plugin that is causing the issue.

If you are worried about the impact on the site visitors while you test, then consider creating a staging site.
