• Horrible plugin. Forces you for email capture and then gives 1 uncustomizable template to use.

    Don’t waste your time

Hi There, your review is dishonest, it seems like you didn’t try the product but decided to give it a 1 star.
You can customize the Exit Pop to your liking, we provide color palette, and the option to upload images. We also “don’t force for email capture”.

*Installs and activates plugin on test site, visit’s plugin options page http://my-test-url-here/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=storeya-exit-pop sees that a Exit Pop account is needed to use the plugin*

Well, you are collecting emails when you force users to signup for the free service. Which for software as a service is fine but why signup just for an exit pop up?

    *Reads plugin FAQ*

What’s this plugin technically do? Just provide an exit popup? I didn’t sign up but if all it’s doing is providing that script then perhaps you’d care to explain more in depth the advantages of your plugin?

    Hi Jan,

Thank you for your reply. It’s just frustrating to see such reviews, of users that didn’t try your product and give you 1 star..

We elaborate at the description tab about this plugin:
98% of your web store visitors abandon your store. 70% of them will NEVER RETURN. Exit Pop will help you convert those visitors into customers a second before they leave your store. Boost your sales by an avg. of 20%. Quick and easy 1 minute set up. Fits any theme – no design or coding skills required!

Our “Exit-Intent” Technology tracks the cursor movements of every visitor in real-time. This technology detects the precise millisecond when a visitor shows intent of abandoning your site, and encourages them to stay and make a purchase.

The email/ Facebook sign up is meant to generate an account, like any other online service, nothing special here. A merchant can use it to install the Exit Pop or any of the other 12 marketing apps we offer.

Thank you, and if you sell online, then this is a must plugin for you!:-)

Which is a good reply (and thanks for that) but I guess what I’m really asking is what does this plugin do?

For example: does it insert a script that loads off of your site? Does it use that script to determine bounce rates? That’s the sort of thing I mean. 😉

Yes, I could and likely will look at the source code but a technical description of the mechanical portion may help eliminate further misunderstandings.

I did try the plugin and that was my honest review. This is not a plugin I would recommend. I didn’t like that you force the email sign up for an exit pop plugin and that it wasn’t user friendly or as advertised in my opinion

@storeya, please avoid making personal remarks about people on these forums, even if they rate your plugin poorly. Telling people that they’re dishonest is what I’m talking about. You’ve made that allegation before and it’s not fair.

I’m not saying you should not disagree with reviewers.

    Hi Andrew,

    I get that, I know it’s harsh.

StoreYa was founded 3 years ago, reached 70,000 active merchants, and have top rated plugins on different marketplaces (Shopify, Magento, Opencart, etc.) The merchants there provide reviews after they’ve used the tool, saw performance, etc. Here we got 1 star review from a user that doesn’t understand why we “forced an email sign up” Every online service I know asks for an email sign up (BTW, we also have a Facebook connect option) we do that so we will be able to create accounts for merchants, nothing new here..

If you sell online, I invite you to try it out, if not invite your friends:-) I’ll be happy to hear your feedback!

@storeya, be careful with your naming of the “Technology”. Exit Intent is a “patented” technology. Ask optin monster as they went to court against the patent holders. May be worth renaming your “Techonology” to avoid this, unless you developed yours before the patent was filed 3+ years ago.

Also saying you don’t collect emails and then reading users version don’t match. From a developer who has dealt with bad reviews that don’t seem fair, the best bet is to appease not flame the reviewer. I have converted 1 stars into 5 stars with just a little finesse and support.
