• I rarely do this for any plugin, but I guess you deserved it. Simply, anyone who is making multiple websites and do this for a living should avoid using shortpixel image optimizer (still deciding on adaptive images which I didn’t use on this project separately neither in AO). After working for couple of years almost perfect, for last couple of months, it is just terrible, and even customer service has become horrible. I optimized all the images and than, it wont show that I optimized them on media library but pictures were clearly optimized (maybe even to much). Also, I tried to restore previous images, it didn’t work, even it said that it was restore successfully. I eventyaly did it manually in cpanel. I wrote to customer support, and created admin profile just for them and sent them all the screenshots. I couldn’t wait, so I installed autoptimize and Cloudflare after all that, just so that website that is alive should operate smoothly as it can. After 4 days of waiting, I get a reply, can you give us a login (I sent it 4 days before), and than after one more day, they tell me, its because of Cloudflare and I told them that I paused cloudflare, purged the cache, turned on development mode and the issue was before cloudflare even got set up which I told them 3,4 days before that. They say, sorry, we are busy at the moment because we have a lot of tickets lately, we will send it to our developers. Hey, 5 days it took you to send to developers. And it also shows that it optimizing something all the time, when I enter, it says everything is optimized but the wordpress dashboard icon was always showing.

I really was thinking about buying more credits and etc, I guess I will switch to smush or ewww. Thank you, it was fun while it lasted.

    Hi @sdvizac,

First, I am really sorry you feel disappointed in this. I totally understand it can be very frustrating to have to wait for several days until your issue is resolved, but we needed all the necessary details to proceed with our investigation.

Since the moment you first contacted us, we have been in touch with you trying to troubleshoot your issue. In our experience, issues like yours are due to external factors, and the support team always tries to solve the issue before sending it to our developers, and for this we need our clients’ collaboration. If we sent every single request to our developers immediately, we wouldn’t be able to fix bugs, for example 🙂

In any case, we will be more than happy to continue the troubleshooting on our separate conversation, since I assure you this has a solution.

Thank you for using the plugin over the years, we strive to improve it all the time and also improve the support process. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Best wishes,
