horizontal wordpress – Living on a Island

    Hi!

    I upgraded my weblog to version 1.5 and created my first WordPress theme based on the Kubrick classic.

    Please check out the following URL:

    The weblog is ordered horizontal and not vertical like normally. The problem with this is that the height of the weblog is 650 pixel and many people now have to scroll in both directions which is not what I want. Does anyone have an idea how I could arange the weblog to avoid the vertical scrolling? I tried it with a smaller graphic on the left but then it is losing it’s effect of the shadows in the water.

    Please comment in here how you like it and if you have an idea how it could be changed to fit (height only) onto smaller screens.

    Interesting design… it’s harder to scroll horizontally than vertically (lack of a horizontal scroll wheel is one reason) but it’s different.

    You could crop the top section of the picture (i.e. lose the clouds)…

    It’s very interesting. Maybe some bright person needs to INVENT a horizontal scroll wheel? Right now, though interesting, it’s counter-intuitive….

    Good stuff, like the minimalistic. Can’t comment on the smaller-screen issue since I am on 19″, sorry. 🙂

    Erwin, you could see all 19 articles left-to-right on a 19″ screen?

    What I meant was that I do not have to scroll vertically. 🙂
