Hi, I love your little plugin. I have a little issue on a client site on mobile. I have ticked Horizontal scrolling. But is there also a way to show a Scroll BUTTON or something as the customer will NOT know to scroll to read further information across on mobile.

I know to scroll because I designed it, but I had someone else test the site and they said they had NO idea there was further information in the table and that they had to scroll.

Is there something else we can add to make it more OBVIOUS please on mobile?

Using Divi Theme and Divi 5.

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi @kristinubute,

Thanks for your post! Great to hear that you like TablePress!

Yes, adding a scroll button is no problem with the “Scroll” mode of the “Responsive Tables” feature module that is part of the TablePress premium license plans! 🙂 Please see https://tablepress.org/modules/responsive-tables/#scroll-mode for more details and an example!

To upgrade to TablePress Pro or TablePress Max, which both come with this feature, please go to https://tablepress.org/pricing/

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Hi, I added some code to show it. It is showing on the BOTTOM where I want the scrolling to show on the top so people KNOW to scroll ..

    Thanks

    Hi @kristinubute,

Do you mean you want to show the scroll bar at the top? Unfortunately, I’m not aware of an easy existing implementation for that, sorry. That’s why I recommend showing those left/right arrow buttons on each side of the table. (This is also much better for accessibility, as the keyboard can be used for these buttons.)

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Thanks, so I’ll have to buy the paid plugin for the arrows left and right for scrolling by the sounds of it ?

Is the Pro version sufficient and NOT having to buy the MAX ?

    Thanks

    Hi @kristinubute,

Correct, TablePress Pro will give you the left/right arrow buttons for the horizontal scrolling (among all other Pro features, of course). TablePress Max is not needed for this 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
