Are you thinking about a particular Honeypot plugin or simply using a hidden custom field?
Hi Julien,
your reply to my query went to spam folder, so I missed it. Using a hidden custom field will serve the purpose. But if that is too much a hassle, you may refer a plugin that will serve the purpose.
Thanks.
There is currently nothing of the sort built in the plugin. You could add it yourself, but this would mean adding the hidden field to the form, and then hooking into the submission process to check for the honeypot.
If you’d like to do that I can point you in the right direction, but using reCpatcha, if it is acceptable for you, is probably a lot easier.
Hi Julien,
Thanks for your reply. Would you kindly provide me some information / documentation about how to tackle the issue?
Thanks.
You can use the action wpas_submission_form_inside_after
to add your honeypot and then hook onto wpas_before_submit_new_ticket_checks
to add your checks.
FYI, I just created a Gist to demonstrate how to add custom checks to the submission process: https://gist.github.com/julien731/78443cc09595c5552b0c711d583698ba
Thanks Julien, It is of great use of the information you provided.
Thanks 🙂
