The Facebook feed in the widget does not update automatically.

The only way I have found to get it to update is to change the Post Style from Boxed to Regular (or vice-versa).

The site is running SiteGround Speed Optimizer and Super Page Cache for CloudFlare.

Clearing the SiteGround Speed Optimizer cache and Super Page Cache do not force the feed to update on the homepage in the widget.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @danielvos,

I checked your website, and your homepage does have heavy caching. The Facebook post shows a publish time of 16 hours ago, even though it was published 24 hours ago. Screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/3B4Tr3. This shows that a cached version of the homepage is being displayed as the Facebook Feed plugin does not have the functionality to cache publish time.

As a quick test you can add this text to the end of URL to view the latest version of your website: /?nocache=3. for example mychurchwebsite.org/?nocache=4.

If you clear the cache in your optimization plugins and check the feed again it should display the current publish time.

If you need us to investigate further, please submit a support request via the form on our website, https://smashballoon.com/support/, and include the System Info.

To obtain this information, please follow the steps on this page: https://smashballoon.com/doc/how-to-get-system-info. We ask you to use our form, as the System Info contains other website information from your site, which we do not suggest posting here.

    Thanks! 🙂
