Do you have a caching plugin installed? If so, have you tried clearing cache or disabling momentarily to see if that’s the cause?
No, no cache plugin. Should I try and get one?
Well you probably should have one for better site performance, but that wouldn’t affect this issue since you don’t have one installed.
Is everything up to date, such as your theme, plugins, and WordPress itself?
Everything is up to date except for my theme. I’m new to this WP world and it mentioned that updating the theme would erase all of my theme settings which I could potentially use a change file thing to prevent, but most of it sounded over my head. WP has quite the learning curve for the non savvy website creating person.
Well that could possibly the culprit. By erasing theme settings, do you mean changes to the CSS or theme files you’ve made or just settings you’ve customized in the dashboard?
Try to deactivate your plugins 1 at a time to see if one of them is causing the issue—that’s often the best place to start and you don’t have to fear ‘breaking’ anything that way 🙂
Ok, I deactivated every plug in and still no go.
I seem to have gotten it figured out though after messing with some of the theme settings. Not sure why it stopped working. Thanks for your help.
