given the fact that OMGF is active on all pages and not only the homepage and that I have seen several AO users also using OMGF, I’m pretty sure this is not a generic issue between those two saveatrain.

that does however not have to mean that in your specific context the combination cannot be at fault somehow. what happens if you disable OMGF, does the AO lazyload JS execute on your homepage?

what other potential plugins could cause the issue to happen?
here is a list of my plugins:

by the way i think you have a great interest in this, since when disabling autoptimize the images do work, so its a direct conflict with autoptimize.

lots in there I don’t know to be honest, so I can’t give reliable feedback here. one pointer; it’s a plugin that is active on your homepage but not on other pages?

does autoptimize run something on the front that it doesn’t on the blog post pages?

    Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

no, for AO all pages are equal πŸ™‚

    (@saveatrain)

i looked at all of our plugins, non of them work only on the frontpage.
do you have an idea how to debug this conflict please?

    (@optimizingmatters)

Only way forwards; briefly switch themes + try disabling (and re-enabling) plugins one at a time to see if you find a culprit ?

Are you using a child theme?

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

sorry for the ignorance, what is child theme?
    i am using jevelin theme

    Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

a child theme is a modified version to the main theme which still uses the main (parent) theme unless specified in the child theme, see https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/ for more info.

by the way; I saw you post in the mc4wp top bar forum about the top bar missing on the homepage and I bet this also is due to wp_footer not executing on your homepage, so the same root cause as lazyload not working.

    Thread Starter saveatrain

    (@saveatrain)

yes i am fishing around, i don’t know what caused it.
but it wasn’t happening several weeks ago.
so its related to one of the plugins updates.

if you have another idea before you go to sleep, shoot me a message πŸ™‚

is there a chance its related to css above the fold input that i have?

    nope πŸ™‚

have you been able to find the culprit saveatrain ?

    (@saveatrain)

no, and super frustrated about it πŸ™
