Support » Theme: Responsive » Homepage : empty side column “appearing”

  • Hello,

My home page appears normally when under around 1000 pixels wide, but as soon as the page is displayed wider, what looks like a large margin or an empty side column appears on the right.

The other pages appear normally in all circumstances… and the home page works perfectly when not defined as “home”. I removed any fancy page layout tools, to no avail.

This page is a copy of the current version of the home page, but not defined as “home”, and works correctly (no empty space on the right of the content) :

Thanks in advance for any hint 🙂

    Hi,

I checked your theme and found that the default site layout is turned on. When you load your site beyond 1000px it shows some empty space at the left and the right side as the theme was developed keeping in mind the normal desktop size.

Have you tried changing the site layout? You will find option in Appearance–>Theme option–>Personalise–>choose site layout (dropdown option).
Try changing the layout and check your site.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your suggestion!

Unfortunately, changing the site layout didn’t change anything about the homepage’s layout. I’ll try to play with the CSS to make that page look like the rest of the website.

    Hi,

    Sure, No problem.
You can try adding the custom CSS to match the page with rest of the website.
If you have any more queries, feel free to raise it here.

    Thank you.
