  • Polish or German doesn’t seem to work for me while navigating home page.

    If your main language is EN:
    1. Are you sure you have created page translations for Polish an German?
    2. If yes, are they linked properly to the main language? Make sure the those links are set in the back-end.

    My main language is Polish, and it’s working in PL for me.
    I’m sure that I’ve created page translations for every page, English and German, ANd those are linked each other. You can look at other pages, the translation is changing normally, the only problem is in homepage.

    Strange, at the moment (on the home page) I get german. I see the domain changing but not the content. Page source shows that all domains serve a page under lang=”de-DE.

    – double check to see if the three home pages are linked by Polylang via checkmark
    – do you have any additional code for the language switcher on the home page template, maybe there is a glitch with it?
    – what happens if you set a different template and page for home page? does the language switch work?

    I checked it once again, and home pages are linked for sure.
    Language switcher is an orignal switcher added as widget on every Homepage
    I tried with other template and nothing changed, also tried to set onother page as hompage and the result was the same.

    One more thing, when I delete cache, then I choose English language (Polish is the main language and it is working all the time) and from now German doesn’t work any more. The same is when I choose German first after deleting cache, then English doesn’t work.

    Hi there, any other idea to resolve the problem? Should I look it in the wordpress file configuration? Please help if You have any ideas.

    Regards

    I am having the same problem, did you try adding this code to your wp-config?

    define('PLL_CACHE_HOME_URL', false);

    as suggested in https://polylang.pro/doc/php-constants/

    didn’t solve my problem unfortunately.
