    Hi,

We have a link on the homepage that says “Login/Register”. When a user performs a login the link changes to “My account”. The problem now is that the user performs the login and when they click the logo to go back to the homepage they’re served with a cached version that still says “Login/Register”. Only after refreshing the page twice it shows “My account”.

Can you help me understand what’s happening?

    Best regards,

    RC

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I see cache status ass DYNAMIC which mean the page cache is not working on your website. Are you using the latest update of the plugin. Can you try removing the plugin completely and then reinstalling it as fresh?

    Hi @isaumya ,

We just deleted the plugin and installed again. Can you see if something change in terms of being dynamic?

OK now the plugin is wporking but the Cache-Control header values are being hijacked either by some other plugins or server rules causing issues: https://i.imgur.com/Zt6L6K4.jpeg

We only use Cloudflare for caching, currently our settings are like this regarding the headers: https://imgur.com/SWhY36R

Could it be the setting on our server that enables NGINX Caching?

I just deactivated Litespeed Cache (we use it only for page and image optimization) to see if this was the problem but I still get the same expired header.

@isaumya, should I use Worker mode?

    Plugin Contributor iSaumya

    (@isaumya)

Don’t use the worker mode as it’s getting dericated as it’s not needed when using Cache Rules.

Looking at the headers now, it seems the Cache-COntrol header now have correct value. Can you try deactivating and deleting the plugin and then set it up as fresh with the latest update?

    Hi @isaumya ,

Thank you for your reply. I just followed your steps. I’ll give it some hours and then I’ll do the same process as before to replicate the problem and see if this changed something.

Hi, is Litespeed cache still disabled? Cause I’m seeing that the cache-control header is messed up again.

    Thread Starter ricardocosta

    (@madebyuh)

Yes. The cache is disabled (see here: https://imgur.com/aXUAk6G). The only thing I did was to delete the plugin and then activated again, like you said.

    (@isaumya)

Yes but something is still adding the values to cache-control you need to deactivate each plugin at a time to see which one it is.

@isaumya I deactivated LiteSpeed and Age Gate, the only plugins that could mess up with the cache-control. This link contains our hta access and it’s only SPCC that is writing cache rules: https://pastebin.com/Vj6FzXbF

@isaumya to test a little bit more, I deactivated SPCC and activated all the other plugins except SPCC. This is what it shows me: https://imgur.com/CpnYqxc
