    Hi,

On my website http://blink1.thingm.com/ using Customizr 3.1.23,
we have a homepage slider but clicking the “left” button on the slider usually causes the slider to disappear and then neither button works. We didn’t have this problem with 3.1.22. We’ve had a few customers complain and I can’t figure out what we’re doing wrong. We also see that spinner on the homepage now when we didn’t see it on 3.1.22.

Cleaned all the caches, tried multiple browsers & machines that have never seen. It occurs on Chrome on Mac & Win7 & Linux, IE11 on Win7, Safari on Mac, Firefox on Mac.

What is causing this? How can we fix it?

    Thanks,
    -=tod

  • There are some issues on 3.1.23, which I think nikeo is working on.

However, the slide disappearing-trick looks to me more like a js conflict of some sort. Like a script is kicking in after load and undoing something vital.

Things I would try, in the following order:
    1. Switch off “Enable/disable slider’s slides centering on any devices” in Appearance > Customize > Responsive settings.

    If that doesn’t work:
    1. Switch off the cache (use the option to prepare the cache for deactivation, rather than switching it off abruptly). This is because you may be minifying stuff that’s already minified. Worth a try and in any case you don’t want the cache to be on while you’re troubleshooting.

    If that doesn’t help:
    1. Deactivate all plugins and switch to the parent theme.
    2. If the problem is gone, then switch them back on one by one to find the culprit.

    If that fails:
    1. Switch temporarily to twentyfourteen, delete Customizr and install 3.1.22 from here.
    2. Wait for the next release of Customizr.

Those are the steps I would take (and in that order). See if any work for you. The last should, even if all the others don’t. You may wish to jump directly to the last and pick up any residual problems after the next release—that would be the best solution in terms of time saved, but not in terms of curiosity assuaged 🙂

Step (1) worked perfectly. Spinner is gone and buttons work. (but note to others: be sure to clear your caches when testing this, WP Super Cache in my case.

Not something I would expect would apply on desktop browsers.

    Thanks so much!
