    I have just created a file called home-page.php and copied the code from the Responsive theme documentation section entitled “Add the home widgets to Pages” I put the file in my childofresponsive theme folder. I created a new page and chose the “home page with home widgets” template. The page is really strange looking and I don’t know what to do with it. When I add media my photo ends up at the bottom and the menubar is only partially visible.

    I changed my home-page.php file to front-page.php file and the home page is still so messed up. I have version 1.9.1 installed.

    I followed the directions and created a home-page.php file as described in

    I changed the name of the file to front-page.php as instructed. I chose the home-page (w/home widgets) as the page template.

    I went to settings readings and set my front page to home and blog page to Blog (I created a Blog page even though I don’t want any blogs on this site)

    I copied my hompage image into the Responsive/Images folder in my FTP.
    I then went to THeme options-Home Page and typed the address in the
    content area and featured content.

    My site looks all messed up and I am no closer to having a jquery slder in my content area and no closer to having home widgets on my home page.

    Please help!

    Did you post on the Responsive forums per my post above?

    I tried and I get this response:
    ERROR: You do not have permission to create new topics.

    Ok it is working. I don’t know what happened but I am so happy! Now to tackle the next challenge!
