I changed my home-page.php file to front-page.php file and the home page is still so messed up. I have version 1.9.1 installed.

I followed the directions and created a home-page.php file as described in

I changed the name of the file to front-page.php as instructed. I chose the home-page (w/home widgets) as the page template.

I went to settings readings and set my front page to home and blog page to Blog (I created a Blog page even though I don’t want any blogs on this site)

I copied my hompage image into the Responsive/Images folder in my FTP.
I then went to THeme options-Home Page and typed the address in the
    content area and featured content.

My site looks all messed up and I am no closer to having a jquery slder in my content area and no closer to having home widgets on my home page.

    Please help!
