Home page title is not set properly

    Hi,

    I noticed that the <title> defined for my homepage in the SEO block in the edit page is not properly set when browsing the page in a browser. For all other pages or blog posts the title is set properly, but the homepage. I don’t use other SEO plugin in the same time, but I had Yoast before the SEOPress if that helps. The <title> for the homepage is set to the value defined in the theme customization area. My website is bilanguage so as you can see in the link, improperly non-English title is used though I defined a correct English title in the edit page section.

    Could you please advice?

    Hi,

    go to SEO, Titles and metas, Home tab.

    Make sure all the fields are correctly filled.

    From Settings, Reading settings page, which option have you selected for “Your homepage displays”?

    Thank you for the reply. Regarding the SEO/Titles and metas/Home the fields are correctly filled. Otherwise the title wouldn’t be correctly added to other pages but they are. Only the homepage is not. I’ve got “%%sitetitle%%” in there for the “Site title” field.

    My setting for the homepage display in the Readings settings is “static” and it points to the correct homepage. Of course the SEO block for this page is correctly filled.

    Do you have other ideas where to look?

    From the Notifications Center (SEO dashboard page), do you have an error related to this:

    Yes, I’ve had the notification and I’ve just fixed it according to the guide. The notification is no longer visible in my dashboard, but unfortunately this didn’t fix the issue. The homepage still shows the general title.

    Sorry, I’ve only modified the functions.php but forgot to remove the wp_title() from the header.php. After I removed it title is now correctly displayed! Thank you very much!
