    Hi everyone,

How could I change the link of “Home” in order to stay in the same page (like all home page should to work).

I mean, the frontpage shows the post, and is like that, what I need, but when you click home it goes to another page and I need it stay in the same page (Home).

    The WebSite: http://profimercadeo.com/gt

    Thanks in advance.

  • Do you mean you want http://profimercadeo.com/gt to be your default page if so in Settings>>>Reading select post page setting

Sorry, after to double check the WebSite, I think I need a way to force the Home tab menu to this page (home), because making my default page (posts) the slider doesn’t work anymore I don’t know why, so is there any way to put some code to make Home link to Home ??

    Thanks again for your help.

Now the Slider works but the home tab menu goes to another page:

As as now this must your post page a blog page so when you post anything is posted on this page.

The Homepage you have in menu is a static page that you created. Without looking at your theme is hard to know if you can have slider on static pages. What theme are you using.

I am using “Adapt” Theme you can see info here: http://designerthemes.com/themes/adapt

Anyway, I think must to exist a way to have total control with the links (targets) that I want to have in my Website, for example what about if I want to create external links? or assign a specific link in a specific text, menu item etc…?

Is there any option in WP to make this, independently of the Theme that I am using..?

    Thank you.

Have you considered creating a custom menu?

I created a custom menu, indeed. The problem is that I want to show all the posts in the home page and the “home top item” must to go to “home” of course, Wp let me make that, using settings+reading+postPage=”Home” BUT then the Top Slider Images does not work anymore. (maybe is a template bug…)

My question is the same, any option (php code I guess) to custom a URL to ANY element…?

    Thanks!

    maybe is a template bug

I think it’s a feature of your current theme. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I am using “Adapt” Theme you can see info here: http://designerthemes.com/themes/adapt

Since this is premium theme is best ask the question theme forum as they may be able help you better as we are not familiar with theme.

    Now works!:

The solution was no create a page include like a item menu, but Custom Item Menu (no page) : Appearance + Menu + Custom Links + Add to Menu

It does not matter no works like a Page because by default is showing the Posts like ‘Home Page’.

I mean in this specific case works because no necessary a PAGE if I can link a Item Menu working like “home”

Thanks Esmi and govpatel for your help.
