I installed the plugin but have not added any languages or made any translations. I have used the plugin previously so testing compatibility ATM.

When I deactivate the plugin existing page links loop back to the home page. When I activate the plugin the links work again, etc. I checked the usual suspects:
    – reset perma-links.
    – flushed server cache.
    – cleared browser of cookies and history.
    – checked the .htaccess file.

None of these things solved the loop.

I also did a complete uninstall of the plugin and its data, cleaned the database using WP_Optimise as well as flushing the cache and browser history. Again, this did not help so I reinstalled a clean version of the plugin (as stated above). But if I deactivate the plugin I run into the same problem.

Any ideas or suggestions as to why I get a home page “loop” (auto redirect) when the plugin is deactivated?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes i receive a support messaage deleted by admin about this.
All was working fine with Google and Azure ?

    Normally,
Desactivate Falang and eventually reset permalink is enought
I’ve done this hundreds of times

The link you send me don’t work
can you give me a screen capture of
    Settings > General
and the content of your htaccess

    Dear Stephane,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, all working with Google and Azure. Just used plain text in the editor as per my earlier post.

I have screenshots you wanted, but can’t where to upload them in this thread as the editor doesn’t have an attachment option. How do I provide the screenshots to you?

    Cheers

    Dear Stephane,

Sorry to have bothered you. After reading your reply I went back and re-saved the permalink settings which resolved the issue.

I don’t know why that didn’t work the first time. I did do and extra step which was to log out of my website and click the links from the front page (as a member of the publi might) rather than when logged into WordPress. That may have made a difference. Just a guessing though.

Anyway, you can treat this issue as resolved and thanks for your help.

    Cheers

    Ok ,
i put the issue as resolved.
it was just a save on permalink to be done another time, you probably display the default language slug

    Have a nice day
    Stéphane
