    WordPress auto-updated to 4.2.2 and the Sydney home page layout was completely wrecked. I’ve uninstalled, deleted and re-inistalled the theme to no avail. The problem started with the header image not displaying, then the posts won’t layout. This also happens in Customizer – no header image regardless of how I manipulate the settings.

    Hi,

    Looks fine to me. Try disabling some of your plugins. Also post a link to your page please.
    Our demo site is also running 4.2.2 without any issues: http://demo.athemes.com/sydney/

    It’s weird because I hadn’t changed anything prior to it doing what it’s doing.

    Well, the theme definitely didn’t change 🙂

    You could try clearing your cache from the caching plugin you’re using.

    It was definitely that caching plugin. I had already deleted the cache to no avail, prior to reaching out. Ultimately, I went with a different caching solution. Problem solved.
