    Hi AntoniaR3

Thanks for giving Ultra a try.

Please try going to Appearance > Home Page, there you’ll be prompted to install Page Builder by SiteOrigin (if you don’t have it installed already). That’ll let you manage your home page via the Appearance link. You can also manage any page or post using Page Builder.

If there is anything else I can assist with, please let me know 🙂

    Hi AntoniaR3

Quick informational point below if you’re interested:

Top Bar and Footer Social Menus

Documentation is still on the way. The idea with the Footer Social and Top Bar Social menus is that you would insert a link as follows:

The theme would then automatically assign a Twitter logo, linked to your profile, based on that link. Link items can be found at Appearance > Menus, just under Pages. The bottom right footer menu location is unfortunately only a social menu at the moment.

    Hi Misplon,

So those area’s on the homepage are widget text boxes? how do you get the little images in the circle? I’ve seen some Themes come with that feature as an option to select. Is that the case with Ultra’s theme?

I do have page builder installed already.

Hi 🙂 On my demo home page I’m using the SiteOrigin Features widget. Within Page Builder there are prompts at various points to install the following two useful plugins:

    SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/

Once installed, go to Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets and activate the plugins you’d like to use. Features Widget is one of them.

    Black Studio TinyMCE:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/

Once activated, this plugin creates a widget called Visual Editor. When inserted into Page Builder or a regular widget area, it will let you manage text, images and video, as you would in the regular Visual tab of a WordPress page/post.

So to confirm, with SiteOrigin Page Builder activated under Plugins, go to Appearance > Home Page, turn it ON and manage away.

Reminder: On any given page you can choose to manage content in the regular Visual/Text tabs or via Page Builder, but not both. That can be a little confusing in the beginning.

If you’re still stuck, perhaps share a link to your site and I could take a look.
