  • Do you use a parent theme? If you say yes then do you have an index.php file in your parent folder?

    I haven’t set up a child theme yet. So it’s a simple set-up.

Only other thing I can think of is if you log into your wordpress backend and then go to appearance and customize, look at the static front page section. Do you have it set for “your latest posts” or “a static page”?

Yep. As stated in the OP, it’s set to be Home Page.

oops. Totally over looked that. So I am totally not sure.

    I appreciate your efforts 🙂
Hopefully someone else can figure out what I am missing.
(ie: Should there be any html or shortcode on the Home Page? There is nothing in it now.)

I’m having a similar issue and reported it in a separate thread.

Since updating to 3.8, I can preview all pages and posts, except my static home page, which appears as blank. If I find a solution, I’ll let you know.

Your homepage doesn’t look blank to me, but it also won’t show your featured posts, because featured posts are shown on a home page that is not set to be a static page, but rather a list of latest posts.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks — I figured it out last night, actually… and decided to switch to a home page that I’m building myself. I just didn’t have enough test posts set to Sticky & I didn’t have Featured Images set.
