# Home page css

 * I have noticed on several different themes, that they have like a “default” home
   page. This is set to display a list of post by default. If I create a page called
   home, then changes the settings to make it my front page, I loose some css that
   the rest of my pages have. If i select a different page as frontpage, its fine.
   Is it something to do with the name of the page being “home”. Or even better,
   how do I edit the “default” home pages that some themes have.

 * this time around it happens to be the Twenty Eleven. But it happens with other
   themes too. When I create a page called “home” and set it has the “static front-
   page” it looses the formatting of the rest of my pages.

 * “Home” is a reserved name in the WordPress template hierarchy, but in this case
   it shouldn’t be causing a problem.
 * Just to verify: you’re creating a static page, with the title “Home”?
 * If so, what happens if you create a static page, with the title “Foobar”? If 
   you assign it as the site front page, do you observe the same behavior?

 * No, thats actually how i was able to work around it. If i name it something else,
   and assign it the “static front-page” it will work fine.

 * Can you give me some ideas of what selectors are impacted, e.g. using Chrome 
   Developer Tools, or Firefox Firebug?
 * I suspect that the culprit selector is a CSS class on the HTML BODY tag.
