# home default category

 * Whenever I post a blog in its respective category (i.e. news), it appears in 
   both the home and news categories. I don’t want the posts appearing in home. 
   Is there a way I can keep posts out of this category?

 * I’ve done that already. The posts are still showing up on the home page. I wonder
   if it has anything to do with the index file, perhaps?

 * I think you’re confusing things here. Having a ‘Home’ category does not equal
   the home page. “Home page” is just what we call the entry page to your blog (
   also referred to as the “front” page). It has no relation to a specific category,
   at least not without customizing on your part.
