• I created a new home page for the site but now there are two buttons that say Home in the navigation bar across the top. How do I get rid of one of them?
    Thanks!

  • I had the same problem…I believe I set the newer one as a child page so that it wouldn’t be viewed in the menu, but this of course is not a great fix.

Edit: Not sure if you have tried this but…
    In Settings > Reading
You can change the front page display to a different page. I changed it to a different page and it deleted the old home link. Let me know if this works!

Under Settings > Reading select choose a static page as homepage. Select your new page called Home.

The wordPress default sets your blog as the home page and thus calls it home. If you change this in your settings, you should only have one home link.

You can also go to the custom menus if your theme is set up to use custom menus and create a new menu. This is under Appearance > Menus.

    Dear Christine,
Thanks for the quick response. However, I already tried that. I only have one home page now because I deleted the original one. Under Settings>Readings, my home page is set as the “Front page” and there is nothing selected for the category Posts page. On the page itself, in the SEO Pack text, the word Home is written in the Menu Label box and the Title Attribute is Rocky Mountain Chorale Home. Therefore, I know that the second label called Home is the one it’s reading into because the name Rocky Mountain Chorale shows in the mouseover. The first Home shows nothing on mouseover.

I’m confused… I think that a link to your site might be needed, so that I can see what’s going on.
