Support » Plugin: Plugin Name: Internal Link Checker » Hint on expanding to include Psges?

  • My group uses WP as a CMS (like everybody these days) and there’s tons of extra/draft/etc pages that I’m trying to cull — I hoped this plugin would find them, but it doesn’t seem to work with pages.

    I’ve looked over the code and tried changing ‘posts’ to ‘pages’ in a few places that seemed appropriate, but it had no effect.

    Any ideas what would need to be changed?

    Hi Illovich,

    WP dot org isn’t nice and doesn’t give notifications if a new support request is made.

    Please open an issue on the GitHub repository. Currently there’s a discussion about a filter for the post type. Both the currently ongoing as well as this feature request needs some discussion before being merged in and updated here.

    Please link to the issue on GitHub here so later readers can find it.

    I haven’t tested it, but it should be enough to simply register an additional meta box for pages: Just copy the child plugin to a .php file in a new folder, zip and upload it, activate it.

    <?php
    defined( 'ABSPATH' ) OR exit;
    /* Plugin Name: Internal Link Check - Page Extension */

    add_action( 'admin_init', array( 'ilcPageLinks', 'init' ) );
    class ilcPageLinks extends ilcInit
    {
    	public function add_meta_box()
    	{
    		add_meta_box(
    			 'ilc_internal_page_links
    			,__( 'Internal Links', 'ilc' )
    			,array( $this, 'load_table' )
    			,'page'
    		);
    	}
    }
