highlight single block

    how cna i highlight a single block for ‘copy’ / ‘paste’ capability? i understand u can select multiple blocks by holding down SHIFT key. but i am stuck on how select a single block to cut and paste. i undrstand the ‘duplicate’ feature but that sticks the new block right underneath the original. i want to be able to paste it in several locations in the entry. i undersand ‘add reusable blocks’ but then i ave to convert back to to normal block…so that i can customize some of the pasted blogs without changing the template.
