Highlight remains when i go to other pages

    Sir, I have just installed highlight search terms in wordpress in localhost. It works well but when I click on home or any other menu on header, it still shows highlight. Moreover I have service as one of my page in website . so If i search services and click home menu, Services is highlighted. Please suggest me a quick tip to resolve issue.

    Can I add hentry manually into my index page.. it resolves highlight problem. Is this right way to do….

    Hi Bruce, the plugin was designed to detect search terms used on the referer page. This referer page can be a search engine results page, or an internal search results page. In the latter case, this means that when clicking a search result on an ‘internal search’, the highlighting is continued on that page too.

    The ‘downside’ here is that it is not possible to detect if it was one of the search results that was clicked or if it was any other menu entry. Highlighting will also ‘continue’ after a search into any other page that follows a search.

    I plan to extend this plugin with some options among which will be the possibility to turn this behavior off for internal searches. But currently, it is not possible.
