Support » Theme: Custom Community » highlight parent site when viewing child page

  • hey,

    I have got a problem e.g. on this site

    During viewing the child “Haarverdichtung” with parent “Haarverlängerung” the parent page is not highlighted/marked.

    I helped myslef out with the additional custom community css override .current_page_parent {background-color: #3b2118;} > now the background of the parent menue button is marked, but the font itself “Haarverlängerung” is not visible anymore (because it is brown on brown?).

    Can someody help me to solve the problem with an additional CSS override? (I don’t want to change the theme itself)

  • Hi Harry,

    set the color to white you’ll have what you wanted to achieve, or not?

    .current_page_parent {background-color: #FFF; }

    ** Another thing, if the parent tab is “tabbed” with a black background, it is marked already… you won’t need any extra color actually, just have it clearly visible **

    hope this helps, have fun, konrad

    thanks – but I want the menue button “Haarverlängerung” in the rectangle around brown and the font itself white on

    @harry1984a, try this one!

    .current_page_parent a {
    color: #ccc !important;

    .current_page_parent a:hover {
    color: #fff !important;

    Add this to the CSS tab of the THEME SETTINGS page and delete the old CSS that didn’t work out (if still there).

    Next, go to the MENU tab, to change the background of the current and dropdown tabs to brown again (as it was before i think)

    Should look nice and also have a minimalistic hover effect 😉

    Cheers, Konrad
