# High CPU Usage

 * Hi,
 * I’m having a high “cpu” usage problem that is being cause by the Front End PM
   plugin. I noticed this when looking at my cpanel dashboard and began deactivating
   all plugins and themes to narrow down what was causing the problem. I began testing
   each plugin by enabling them one by one and removing the last character from 
   my functions file and saving it though ftp. Since it’s an ajax call there was
   no need to refresh the page so that the error displayed. Then as soon as I recovered
   the deleted character and saved it through ftp the error would go away.
 * Because of the behavior of it I believe the calls are happening by the second
   which is why my cpu was high while having a few open browsers with my site open
   on them. Especially if left overnight the cpu would peak which made the server
   near impossible to access at times.
 * By the way I’m using version 3.3 for front end pm and 4.3.1 for wordpress.
 * At first I thought it was the Heartbeat issue, but that wasn’t it. Can you guys
   please look into a fix. Also if you guys need any more information or details
   from me please let me know.

   for letting us know, Please can you give us a little more info?
 * 1. php version,
    2. mysql version 3. multisite enabled? 4. object cache enabled?
   5. in Front End PM back end settings page is “Hide site wide notification in 
   header?” checkbox checked? If not you can check and see cpu usages.

 * OK, so I checked everything you asked and the problem is being caused by the “
   Hide site wide notification in header” option.
 * Also here are the answers to your questions.
 * 1. 5.4
    2. 5.5.35-cll-lve 3. No 4. No 5. No, but after checking it my cpu usage
   dropped to normal again. I believe the bug is in this option while being unchecked.

 * For notification ajax call is made every after 5 seconds (5000 milliseconds) 
   by default. You can change that to a larger number in front-end-pm > js > notification.
   js arround line 15 and monitor your cpu usages. I will try to add an option in
   back end for this in next release.

 * Hi Shamim. Just a friendly reminder about this setting.
 * We had to hide our site-wide notification because of this issue, and consider
   that a real loss of functionality.
 * I know you have a lot to do, but if you could re-consider this as a priority,
   that would be great! Thank you!
