  • I’m not the Developer, just a User like you, but, assuming the correct login data has been used, that sounds to me like you use a caching plugin, and so need to exclude the Register and Login URLs from your caching plugin.

The other (more obvious) reason is a browser cache needs clearing (ie. refresh the page a few times.)

Just a suggestion while you await the developer’s response 🙂

    Thanks for the suggestions.

The site does not have a caching plugin installed.

I’ve performed a hard refresh of the page and the message remains.

    Cheers. 🙂

Well, at least we’ve eliminated that potential cause, so the Developer can spot the fox more quickly.

    Hi,

How do we hide this message after the visitor has logged in?

Are you saying that after a member logs in, the message is still displayed to the logged in member?

I also carried out a test in my dev site. I protected a post with a membership level. Then I made sure the member was assigned the same membership level. I then logged in as the member and the message you mentioned above did not display any more.

Please make sure the member is assigned the correct membership level (If you have more than one membership level in your site) for the page or post you wish the member to have access.

    Kind regards.

    Thanks.

It turned out the text was static text.

The problem I face now is I can’t login with my member account.

I keep receiving an error “Account has expired.”.

I have set a Free membership level to 2, which is the same membership level as my test account.

I set my account status back to Active, but after every login attempt, it reverts to expired, even for new member accounts.

    Help appreciated.

    Hi,

I set my account status back to Active, but after every login attempt, it reverts to expired, even for new member accounts.

Please check the following documentation. This will help you understand how to make sure your member’s access level is set up correctly.

Are you saying the following link is not working for you?

It wasn’t working when I last checked.

    It is working now.

The previous developer had set a manual expiration date of July 2022. Setting this to no expiry resolved the problem for us.

    Thanks.

    Enjoy the plugin.
