Hiding the body background behind header with transparency

  • I am trying to have a header (and footer) with a cutout and I need the background of the cutout to be the page background instead of the body background. You can see what I’m talking about here. The cutouts in the header and footer are supposed to have the stripes behind them, but instead they have the body background. Anyone know how I can do this?

I can’t make the header image with the background included because when the page is resized everything looks off.

I’m working off of Kubrik. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Nevermind. I have resolved the issue by placing the header into its own div class which is similar to the page class, but without the body background.

Thank you for the excellent help you guys have here. I have used the advice given here many times, and really appreciate all of your hard work.

you can place the header even with out the back ground. learn more about HTML and CSS? go on the links below.
