• Hi all,

I’m trying to adjust my site so it doesn’t have the sidebar on the homepage.

I’ve marked the topic NSFW due to the contents of my shop.

I’d rather not create a child theme then add functions to PHP if I can help it.

I just wondered if there is a better way that avoids having to do that so I don’t miss out on any future theme updates.

    Cheers,

    Rob.

I’ve hidden the homepage contents at the moment because the site is live.

    Cheers,

So you mean avoid using the template that I paid for and make a new layout all of my own? Sorry but that’s not a great answer though I appreciate it all the same.

    Cheers.

    Hi ,

What template did you pay for ?

    Storefront is a free theme.

I paid for add-ons to Storefront including Powerpack. But I came back to check after having a go at making a test page based on the answer above and it’s not the worst idea and to say thank you for putting on the right track.

However, Storefont and Elementor don’t seem to get on either.

I guess I’m doing something wrong and apologise if the previous message sounded like I was annoyed.

I’m more annoyed that after having spent an age getting things to work, something basic doesn’t work how I expected…

I’ve done a test page using the full-width layout that is nearly the same as the original. Then I tried to edit it in Elementor and it fell apart…

I’ve raised a ticket with Elementor as well now.

I do appreciate that replies by the way.

    Any other input greatly appreciated.
