Support » Plugin: WP Statistics » Hiding Own Traffic / Hits

  • Hi Mostafa,
thx a lot for this great plugin.

Because I’m working mostly on low traffic sites every hit counts and so my own visits are messing up stats. Is there a way to block the count in a similar way like Google does with their non-tracking-cookie?

In 2014 you answered to a similar question on …

…that this feature may be added “in the future”. Do you have any idea whether and when you may implemnt it?

    Thx in advance,
    Ralf

You have a few options, the easiest is if you are logged in to the site, you can exclude based on your role.

Otherwise you can exclude based on your IP address as well.

    Hi Greg,
thx for your reply. Actually I was looking for a solution without loggin’ in, but it’ll do.

    IP-blocking isn’t an option due to IP-change on DSL-reconnects.
