  • Hi,

The customer area page should only contain the shortcode [customer-area], nothing more. Once that page is setup, you won’t have to touch it anymore.

    To create a private file:

    1. Log in the WordPress admin panel
    2. Go to Customer Area
    3. Select Private Files > Add new
    4. Give it a title
    5. (optional) write a description
    6. (optional) assign a category to it
    7. Upload the associated file (box below the description)
    8. Choose the file owner (box below the file upload box) (the user who will see it in his customer area)

That private file will then appear “magically” on the customer area page when the owner logs in (other users won’t see it).

Thanks very much for all your help. The simple list of instructions is all I needed and I have now got this sorted much better.

You’re welcome. I hope this topic will also guide other people in your situation.

Don’t forget to rate the plugin and leave a review if you like it or found it useful.
