I have a blog with Admin, Editor, Author and Contributor levels. All of them can post but i want some to be able to post in certain categories.
For instance, Author A can only post in Blogs, Author B can only post in Video and so on. Admins to be able to post in all Categories, Editors in some but not others.
TO that extend I’m trying to find a plugin that will hide certain categories form the Add New Post section pending on the user or user levels.
Another problem I have. That sometimes I use categories for current events. Once the event has concluded I would like to hide that category from the Add New Post section, otherwise I’ll end up with too many categories and it becomes messy. Deleting the Category is not an option because I still want readers to be able to access the posts via that category.
In this post http://wordpress.org/support/topic/hide-categories-from-cartain-user-levels?replies=4 someone suggested using this plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/capa/ This plugin however doesn’t do what I need it to do. It hides categories form user levels from accessing it completely, even reading them. For example if I set Category A to be accessible to admin only, only the Admin will be able to read posts within that category and only when they are logged in.
Any help i can get would be appreciated.
