 * Hi Stefano,
 * I am still enjoying the plugin and am really pleased with it.
 * On my shop page I use a filter panel with sets for category and tag both using
   AJAX. Checking it on my phone yesterday, when I chose a category, I thought my
   list of tags was rather long making it a bit more time-consuming for a user to
   scan the results (desktop screen – [https://prnt.sc/nq_ljXNnW6z9](https://prnt.sc/nq_ljXNnW6z9)).
   Using the category books as an example, I then have 21 tags, but in this case,
   only 6 are non-zero. In my opinion, usability would be better if after a category
   is chosen, if an option requests it, any tags with 0 are hidden. A mock-up of
   this is [https://prnt.sc/swzra2wY1eez](https://prnt.sc/swzra2wY1eez) (1 tag not
   shown).
 * I’ve taken a good look at the current settings and can’t see this (apologies
   if it is there). Might it be a possible future feature?
 * Thanks,
 * James

 * Hi James,
 * Thank you again for another great suggestion, and I’m really glad to hear you’re
   still enjoying the plugin!
 * Yes, you are absolutely right about this. The current **Contextual Counts** update
   the numbers after selecting a category, but the terms with `0` are still displayed,
   so I agree that being able to hide those options would make the filter much cleaner
   and easier to scan, especially on mobile.
 * I’ve had a look at it and I’ll work on adding an option to hide terms with no
   matching products. It should be quite a contained change, so I’ll aim to include
   it in the next update.
 * And thanks again for taking the time to send these suggestions 🙂
 * Since I’m going to be working on the next update, I’d also be interested to hear
   what you think about the recent changes to the dashboard and overall UI. Any
   feedback on things you like, don’t like, or would change would be very welcome.
 * And if you’ve come across any other features that you think would be useful,
   feel free to send them my way. Since I’ll already be working on this update,
   it will be a good opportunity to consider adding some other useful improvements
   at the same time.
 * Thanks again!

 * Hi Stefano,
 * Thanks for the reply and pleased to hear that you like my suggestion and can
   accommodate it.
 * I like the UI design – nice, clean, and modern. The recent changes to the dashboard
   were positive. You cover every base with the options – behaviour, colours, wordings
   etc. You remove the need for anyone to have to add any CSS which makes it easier
   for less technical users. Though, to be honest, I largely use default settings.
 * I do like the way you separate filter sets and filter panels. It allows reuse
   which means efficient management and avoiding duplicated effort. I only use categories
   and tags so haven’t been into attributes (colour etc) or a price filter. I know
   other filter plugins have swatches, options of images etc. so my requirements
   are fairly simple.
 * Keep up the good work!

 * Hi James,
 * Thank you again for the feedback! It’s been really helpful, especially having
   someone actually using the plugin and sharing how you use it and what you think
   could make it better 🙂
 * I’ve just pushed a new update, and I actually ended up adding a few things based
   on your suggestions:
    - **Hide empty terms** — exactly as you suggested, you can now choose to hide
      terms with no matching products when using contextual counts.
    - **In-filter search** — I’ve added an optional search box that can be displayed
      at the top of each filter set, so users can quickly search for a specific
      category, tag, attribute, etc. when there are lots of options.
    - **Color swatches** — I really liked your idea here, so I went ahead and added
      support for displaying attribute terms as color swatches.
 * I also liked the other ideas you mentioned, but I’ve put those on the roadmap
   for a later release as they require a bit more work. The three above were relatively
   contained additions, so I decided to include them in this quick update rather
   than making you wait. 🙂
 * The update has already been pushed to WordPress.org and should be live and available
   for download within the next few hours.
 * I’ll mark this support request as completed for now, but as always, if you notice
   anything else or have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know!
 * Thanks again for all the input,
 * Stefano

 * Hi Stefano,
 * Happy to help.
 * I’ve just loaded the new version and set **Hide empty terms**. It looks great
   and I think is really good for users.
