Does the plugin hide/show the content without the user refreshing the page? The site that I’m using it on requires that the page doesn’t refresh. The content has to hide/show at the given time without the client refreshing the page. Is this possible or not?

No I’m afraid not. That would require some AJAX implementation of this same idea. This plugin only evaluates the current time when the page is loaded and displays content accordingly.
