# Hide versions, plugins, etc…

 * Hi… I have a question… it is possible with Wordfence to hide the version of WordPress,
   plugins and theme used from external websites like build with, etc… ?

   our help on this.
 * Using rewrite rules in **.htaccess** would work on most hosts if you are using
   Apache and really wanted to restrict this information yourself.
 * We mostly see attacks that don’t check if a site is vulnerable first. Trying 
   an exploit will usually be attempted without checking a specific plugin or WordPress
   version and just hoping for some results. At present this is not a feature in
   the settings of Wordfence but I could certainly submit a feature request to our
   development team if it is something you would like to see?
