Hide User Role selection except for admin (2 posts)

We have created a new Role that is based on the contributor role but we added creating/editing user capabilities. However, we don't want the users to change their user role/others user role and change the password. Is there a way to hide the User Role selection and the password area?

Also since the users have access to the Users area they can also see the admin users and might change the password or delete the user. Can we display the Contributor Users only?

    I hope it will help.

As about deletion of administrator user by other user with edit users rights, User Role Editor hide users with 'administrator' role from any users with other roles and blocks any tries to modify/delete them. So your contributors should not see users with administrator privileges until you use role with other name for your administrators.
