Hide until toggled” not saved for Elementor 4.3.2 submenu items
-
Hi ASE Support, Reporting a bug in Admin Menu Organizer. Environment: - ASE Pro: 9.1.3.1 - WordPress: 7.1.2 (single site) - PHP: 8.3.32 - Elementor: 4.3.2 (with the new "Editor One" menu system) Issue: Under Settings > Admin Menu > Elementor parent menu, the submenu item "Elementor MCP" does not keep the "Hide until toggled" setting. After checking the box and saving (success notice is shown), the checkbox reverts to unchecked after reloading the page. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open ASE > Admin Menu 2. Find Elementor > "Elementor MCP" submenu item 3. Check "Hide until toggled" and click Save 4. Success notice appears 5. Reload the page -> the checkbox is unchecked again Technical observations: - The saved option admin_site_enhancements_extra > admin_menu > custom_submenu_always_hidden contains no entry for this item, i.e. the setting is never persisted (while other, non-Elementor submenu items save correctly). - ASE builds the submenu ID at runtime as "<submenu_slug>_-_<sanitized_title>-_-<url_fragment_length>" (class-admin-menu-organizer.php, $submenu_item_id) and matches it with in_array( $submenu_item_id, $submenu_hidden_by_toggle ). - Elementor 4.3.2 introduced the "Editor One" menu manager (core/admin/editor-one-menu/elementor-one-menu-manager.php) which dynamically restructures the admin menu (remove_submenu_page / flyout items, with 'elementor-mcp' in its protected list). It looks like the menu structure used when saving differs from the one used when re-rendering, so the recomputed ID never matches. - No JavaScript error appears in the browser console when checking the box. Expected: "Hide until toggled" should persist and render as checked for Elementor submenu items, as it does for other menu items. Could you please check Admin Menu Organizer's compatibility with Elementor 4.3.x (Editor One menu)? I can provide the DB option values or a short screen recording if that helps. Thanks!
