Hide the ‘Home’ breadcrumb from homepage

I’ve just started using this plugin, mainly because I was unable to find a way to display breadcrumbs the way I wanted to. This does it, but there is the word ‘Home’ on my homepage which I don’t want there. Is there a way to disable the breadcrumbs from showing on the homepage, or at least to hide it?

Hi @angeljs,

You can change that label by going to All in One SEO > General Settings > Breadcrumbs where you’ll see a field called “Homepage label”.

We have also covered this in our documentation here –

If you want to change this in Google search results, you’ll need to change the Homepage label inside the Breadcrumbs Schema markup by using the filter here –

Thanks for your reply, but I don’t want to change the label, I want to hide breadcrumbs on my homepage.

@angeljs which of our display methods are you currently using? The block, shortcode, widget or PHP snippet?

@angeljs we currently do not have a shortcode attribute to hide it, but you can add this code snippet to your child theme’s functions.php file –
```
add_filter( 'aioseo_breadcrumbs_output', 'aioseo_hide_home_breadcrumb' );

function aioseo_hide_home_breadcrumb( $shouldShowTrail ) {
	if ( is_front_page() ) {
		return false;
	}

	return $shouldShowTrail;
}
```
