Hide taxonomies meta boxes

  • Hi,

    I have 2 custom taxonomies that I’m using with ACF, and they show up, and work well, but in the edit page, the standard meta boxes for my 2 custom taxonomies are showing up as well. How do I hide those boxes, so only the ones from ACF show up?

    I know I can probably do it through functions.php, but is there something simple I’m missing? I tried checking the hide checkbox for categories and tags, but that doesn’t affect my custom taxonomies.

    Thanks

  • Hey, I came across the same issue when using ACF and taxonomies.

    If you’re still looking to have the taxonomy meta box removed take a look at the remove_meta_box function.

    function remove_team_member_meta() {
    	remove_meta_box( 'rolediv', 'team-member', 'side' );
    }

    add_action( 'admin_menu' , 'remove_team_member_meta' );

    ‘rolediv’ would be the id of the wrapper for the meta box you’d like to remove.
