Hi PepeCZ,
Adjusting the robots.txt file is discouraged. Google, among other search engines, listen closely to different entries of the Robots Exclusion Protocol standards.
One of the standards is the noindex
option, provided on every public page in the SEO Settings.
If you enable that option, your post entry will be removed from the sitemap as well as from Google’s (and other) search engine result pages.
I hope this helps 🙂 Cheers!

Hi, I want only remove from indexing only WP Pages or WP Posts what are set in wordpress administration as Private.
So you mean that is best in every wp pages or wp posts what I not want have indexed, check field “Robots Meta Settings” “Apply noindex to this pages”?
Ok, but what when I must create in +- 50 pages? I must create in each one, or can be some created in all via small clicks?

Hi PepeCZ,
That’s a good question, and I believe to have a good answer:
In the next update I’ll make sure that protected and private posts/pages are automatically detected and trimmed from their public descriptions, indexing and the sitemap’s entry 🙂
Until that’s released I’m afraid you’d have to process all those pages manually, as is what you’ve described. There’s no “bulk edit” tool available, yet.
Best of luck! Cheers 🙂

Ok 🙂 It’s okay, now I all wanted pages select noindex manual.
Maybe question and when now I all +- 75 pages set noindex, when you release new version and I upgrade – all setings left as is now? I know that your answer on this will be on 99% yes but I must ask sorry 🙂
Hi PepeCZ,
Settings that are set to “on/filled in” will always overwrite the automation in The SEO Framework.
Settings that are set to “off/empty” will always be automated, when possible.
The SEO Bar will notify you on its status, special statuses are marked blue.
I expect 2.8.0 to be released next week.
And about the settings retaining: Yes, always 🙂
Hi PepeCZ,
Good news: The automated detection has been implemented as described earlier.
