All existing events are automatically shown on the locations_map as a pin.
Is there an option to hide the past and unpublished events on that map?

    Thx for your help,
    Lisa

just to confirm, did you mean hide the past events from the location map tooltip? if yes, you can use placeholder #_LOCATIONNEXTEVENTS under events > settings > formatting > map > balloon format

we use that setting already and it works perfectly fine.
what i am looking for is an option to automatically hide locations that don’t have upcoming events.
furthermore, if events or locations are unpublished, they still appear in the location map – we now set them to “draft” as a workaround. this works but is not an optimal solution, though, since it requires to publish both the location and the event separately then.

you can try shortcode like [locations_map eventful=1]

It works! Thank you so much!

Unfortunatelly we have the same problem again.

Altough we use the shortcode [locations_map eventful=1], all locations are displayed in the location map, even if they do not contain current or past events.

[locations_map eventless=1] does not show any locations, although there are some without events.

    Any idea?

sorry but this shortcode [locations_map eventless=1] seems working fine on our test sites; do you have sample link?
