• When I use the “Add media” button in posts, the “Media Categories” show up just above the “Attachment Display Settings”.

When you are in the process of adding an image to a blog post, it feels confusing that you can on the same page assign categories to the image you are about to insert.

So I’d like to remove that from the “Add media” dialogue altogheter and only show the “Media categories” when visiting the Media tab in the admin interface.

Maybe it’s possible to add an option for this, or even just a filter so developers could hook in and get the desired behavior?

    Thanks beforehand!

For anyone using Media Categories and have updated Enhanced Media Library, you may have noticed that the media categories are not displayed in the Add Media dialog by default. To get them back, go to WP Admin > Media Settings > Taxonomies > edit “Media Categories” > and make sure the “Edit in Media Popup” checkbox is checked.

    Hello @itanjillc,

Thank you for the correct note! There is a small bug in v2.0.4 that prevents saving new options to the database on update. It will be fixed with v2.0.4.1 that will be launched tonight. All settings you have set before this will remain intact.

    Sorry for inconvenience!
