Hide followers/following if not user's own profile?

    At the moment, you can try this CSS snippet to remove the tabs if you’re not on your own profile:

    That is purely cosmetic though.

    If you want to remove the tabs outright, currently, this wouldn’t be possible without hacking the way BuddyPress generates the navigation tabs and because following a user requires having access to a user’s followers tab if javascript isn’t enabled (eg. /members/USER/followers/start/).
