“Hide empty terms” on category not working

If I open the shop and then I select a top-level category, “Hide empty terms” properties doesn’t work, if I change the category, “Hide empty terms” begin to function properly:

If you select “Arredamento per l’industria” from the left menu, The filters under “Categorie prodotto” show all terms, even the empty ones.
If I select another category in “Categorie prodotto”, the empty terms are hiding.
If I go back to “Arredamento per l’industria” with breadcrumb “Hide empty terms” work properly.

How can I ever hide the empty terms?

My option are:
Set filter automatically: NO
Autosubmit: YES
Show count: YES
Dynamic recount: YES
Hide empty terms: YES
(Other configuration have same results)
